The 2012 FINA Grand Prix Diving session in Fort Lauderdale, Florida's International Swimming Hall of Fame matched many potential Olympians from around the globe against one another prior to the London 2012 Games.

Stephen Ferreira
It was seeing Steve Ferreira dive in Florida several years back that got me interested in focusing on diving photography. An exceptional athlete and stellar individual, Steve showed talent early and honed his diving craft as a member of the Cardinal Swim Club in Middletown, CT. Steve dove for UCONN where he now holds all the university's diving records. He is now the diving coach at Lehigh University and in a Masters program there. As a senior at UCONN, Steve represented the Big East Conference and UCONN at the 2010 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships at Columbus, OH. While he didn't place in the 1m and 3m events, his artistry in the air was poetry. Here are several photos of Steve diving at the Championships in 2010. He is currently the diving coach at Lehigh University.

Irene
Tropical storm Irene barreled through the Maritime provinces of Canada last night. As she approached, she churned up some strong wave action on the Atlantic. This photo was taken on Medway Head, about 90 minutes south of Halifax, Nova Scotia.

NCAA photos
Arizona State University asked me to photograph their divers, Constantin Blaha and Riley McCormick at the 2011 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships in Minneapolis. Below is one of Constantin (a 2008 Austrian Olympic Team member). Constantin took 3rd in the 3 meter board diving.
Riley represented Canada in the 2008 Olympics.
Indiana University also asked me to shoot for them. Here is my photo on their website.

Matt Ryan
Matt Ryan, of Halifax, Nova Scotia, is a young man with a great look and incredible physical talent. As a teenager, he was crowned Canadian Junior National Gymnastics Champion. While he is no longer a competitive gymnast he has kept his interest in working out and is turning his efforts toward modeling.

Gymnast Clayton is geared for big things
I met Clayton about a year ago. Since then we have done three shoots in Massachusetts and Florida. This guy is ready to make something big of himself. A gymnast, he runs a gym in Florida but he has taken up aerial silks and along with his partner LJ, he is poised to take on the world. Word has it that he might be considering some opportunities out in Hollywood. Keep your eye out for this guy.
